Chartist Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 25, 2026

Chartist is a local-first music chart and playlist app. Most chart data stays on your device unless you choose to sign in and use Chartist Sync.

Information Chartist Handles

How The Information Is Used

Chartist uses this information to provide sign-in, sync playlists across your devices, support collaboration with invited musicians, restore purchases, keep subscription access accurate, troubleshoot issues, and protect the service from misuse.

Local Data

Charts, playlists, and song library data can be stored locally on your device. Local data remains on your device unless you use Chartist Sync, export it, share it, or otherwise choose to send it outside the app.

Third-Party Services

Chartist uses Apple for Sign in with Apple and in-app purchases, Supabase for authentication and synced playlist storage, RevenueCat for subscription status, and Netlify for this support website.

Data Sharing

Chartist does not sell your personal information. Collaborative playlist content is shared only with users you invite or users who are already members of that playlist.

Retention and Deletion

Local data can be deleted from inside the app. If you use Chartist Sync, synced account and playlist data is kept while your account exists so the sync feature can work. You can request account deletion from inside the app, which removes your Chartist account and associated synced data where deletion is technically and legally required.

Children

Chartist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Chartist changes. The latest version will always be available on this page.
